Imphal: Sixty persons were discharged from different community care centres and hospitals after they were tested negative for COVID-19 while 28 persons were confirmed positive.
Those turned negative were discharged from community quarantine centres of Meitram (24), RD wing, medical directorate (7), Bishnupur (7), Senapati (4), Ukhrul (7), COVID Care Facilities of RIMS (10) and JNIMS (1).
The new positive cases were confirmed at VRDLs of RIMS (27) and SDH lab, Jiribam (1).
They belong to Imphal West (101), Jiribam (1), Kakching (1), Kamjong (4), Tamenglong (1) and Thoubal (11).
They are being shifted to the COVID care facilities. All (except 4 persons namely a GP pradhan, a GP member, a security guard and a volunteer from Thoubal district) are returnees from other states. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, and official statement said.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1700. The numbers or active and recovered cases are 620 and 108 (1 respectively. The recovery rate is 63.52 percent, it added.
The four COVID-19 confirmed cases of the Thoubal district have history of exposure to known local risk factors. There is no evidence of community transmission going on in the district, the report said.
