Imphal: On Tuesday night 13 persons (7 males, 6 females) were confirmed positive for Covid-19 positive at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal and at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).
Two of the samples were tested at RIMS and 11 of them at JNIMS.
They are from the districts of Bishnupur (1), Churachandpur (1), Senapati (3), Tamenglong (2), Tengnoupal (4) and Ukhrul (2). The first two persons and the two from Tamenglong are returnees from Chennai. The three persons from Senapati are returnees from Mumbai while the four persons from Tengnoupal are returnees from Delhi.
They are being shifted to the Covid Care Facilities at RIMS and JNIMS. Their conditions are stable. All necessary precautionary measures such as containment and contact tracing are now in place.
Twelve patients from RIMS were discharged after they were found negative for Covid-19 on two consecutive RT PCR tests.
The total number of recovered case has increased to 26. The recovery rate has improved to 25.49 percent.
The total number of positive cases has increased to 102 and the number of active cases to 76, Manipur Covid-19 Control Room said on Wednesday.
