Imphal, June 3: Another 12 COVID-19 patients on Wednesday discharged from Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal after they were found negative in RT PCR test.
One of them is from Imphal East district and the rest are from Churachandpur district. They will be under home quarantine for the next 14 days, Manipur COVID-19 Control Room said.
Six individuals (5 males, 1 female) were confirmed positive for COVID-19 at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal. Two (1 male and 1 female) are from Kakching district and returnees from Delhi. Another two (males, 23 and 27 years of age) are from Tamenglong district and are Chennai returnees. The remaining two (males, 24 and 26 years of age) are from Thoubal and Kamjong districts and they are Delhi and Mumbai returnees respectively, it added.
They will be shifted to the COVID Care Facility at RIMS. All necessary control measures including containment and contact tracing are underway.
The total number of recovered cases has increased to 38. The recovery rate has improved to 35.18 per cent. The total numbers of positive and active cases have increased to 108 and 70 respectively, the control room said.
