Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 24, 2020: Joining hands with other CBI Branches of the Country, the staff of CBI, Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), Imphal distributed food and essential items to the following migrant labourers, workers, needy persons and children home, old age home, rehabs centre who are facing hardship during the present nation-wide Covid-19 lockdown.
The distributed items were rice, Masoor dal, potato, onion, mustard oil, sugar, salt and tea leaf packets.
The items were distributed to 100 families of migrant labourers/workers of Khuyathong and
Nagamapal areas, Imphal West at Rising Knowledge Club, Khuyathong, Imphal West; to 100 families of Sanjenbam Village, Uripok Kangchup Road at SOYO Club, Sanjenbam Village, Imphal East; atTabitha Children Home, Mantripukhri, Imphal West; at Kanglatombi Children Home, Imphal West; at Compassion Children Homw, Motbung, Kangpokpi; at Destitute Children Home, Tera Keithel, Imphal West; at Senior Children Home, Kongba, Imphal East; and at Chumthang (Half Way Home), Langol, Imphal West.
The food and essential items were distributed from the funds generated through voluntary donation by all the staff of CBI, Anti-Corruption Branch, Imphal.
The CBI, ACB, Imphal Branch falls under North East (NE) Zane of CBI which is presently headed by N.M.Singh, joint director, who hails from Manipur.
