Pothashang News Service: Imphal, April 16, 2020: Manipur chief minister Nongthombam Biren Singh has warned to take actions against shopkeepers selling food items higher than the price fixed by the state government.
“Shopkeepers should not think of profit in the situation while humankind is suffering. God will bless you,” Biren said on his Facebook post.
He appealed to people to immediately inform at nearby police station if anyone come across merchants selling higher than the price fixed by the government saying that government will take appropriate actions.
Department of consumers affairs on April 7 issued an order featuring prices of food items, both in wholesale price and retail price, fixed by the state government.
