Pothashang News Service: Imphal, March 14, 2020: Directorate of health services, Manipur has clarified that there is no confirmed case of COVID-19 in the state.
Health and family welfare services director Dr. K. Rajo Singh on Friday clarified that “in response to wide spread news of Corona Virus/COVID-19 positive case in Manipur, it is, hereby clarify that till now there is no confirmed case of COVID-19 in Manipur”.
However, as precautionary measure the state government has on Thursday issued a prohibitory notice of any gathering of more than 100 persons, except for family rituals like mariage, Shradha etc, with the prior approval of the deputy commissioner concerned.
In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak and to ensure reduction of mass gathering and avoid its spreading, as a precautionary measure, the Manipur goverment has also issued an order that all classes shall remain suspended in all educational institutes till March 31.
All kinds of examination already scheduled (both theory and practical) conducted by Board af Secondary Education, Manipur and Council of Higher Secondary Schools will not be affected.
