Imphal, February 20, 2018 (DIPR) : Seven private companies had signed MoU with the State government on November 22, 2017 for Chromite exploration and mining in the State, said Trade, Commerce and Industries Minister Shri Thongam Biswajit Singh, today, in the House.
The Minister was replying to a Starred Question raised by MLA Shri Surjakumar Okram.
In reply to another Starred Question raised by MLA Shri P.Brojen Singh, Minister Biswajit who also holds the Work Portfolio said that there is no specific order issued by the State PWD specifying the permissible vehicle loads for heavy vehicles to ply on different categories of road in Manipur.
Education Minister Shri Thokchom Radhesyham said that a government high school having classes VI to X should have 11 teachers and one home Science Teacher totalling to 12 teachers. There should be six Arts Graduate teachers, four Science Graduate Teachers and one Hindi Graduate Teacher, he said replying to a Starred Question raised by MLA Md. Fajur Rahim.
Labour & Employment Minister Shri Radheshyam said that the figures deleted from the live Employment Exchange Register till November, 2017 is 4,51,569 as per provision under item no 7.32(a) of the National Employment Service Manual (Vol-I), which requires mandatory renewal every three years.
He continued that prior information was given to the candidates before deregistering through electronic and print media and that the candidates removed from the employment register can re-register at any time with the concerned Employment Exchange.
He said that the department also proposes to conduct special camps for facilitating such re-registration.
IPR Minister Biswajit said that 7500 copies of diaries and 17,000 copies of calendars were published this year on December 31, 2017 at 2pm. He was replying to a Starred Question.
There are 11 KGBVs and nine Residential Schools opened in Manipur and all the 11 KGBVs and eight Residential schools out of the nine are functional, said Education Minister Radheshyam replying to a Starred Question raised by MLA Shri Abdul Nasir.
