Kangpokpi, December 10, 2017 (DIPR): In the light of the most recent incident regarding hospital authority denial admission of a pregnant woman, Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister, also the local MLA, Smt. Nemcha Kipgen paid a surprise visit today at Community Health Centre (CHC), Kangpokpi which was recently upgraded to District Hospital.
It may be mentioned that on Friday, a woman delivered her baby at home without any proper medical care and assistance after CHC, Kangpokpi denied her admission in the hospital on the charge that she was not accompanied by the ASHA workers and for not possessing any relevant document regarding checkup during her pregnancy.
