Imphal, November 26: As part of World AIDS Day 2017 campaign a one-day free health camp was held today at Manipur Dramatic Union’s hall, Yaiskul Police Lane, Imphal West.
World AIDS is observed every year on December 1. This year’s theme of the day is “Right to health”.
The World AIDS Day 2017 campaign promotes the theme to reach the goal of universal health coverage. Under the slogan “Everybody counts”, WHO will advocate for access to safe, effective, quality and affordable medicines, including medicines, diagnostics and other health commodities as well as health care services for all people in need, while also ensuring that they are protected against financial risks.
The health camp was organised by Manipur Network of Positive People MNP+, Vihaan Partners, Pediatrics department of JNIMS and Medical and Sales Representatives’ Association of Manipur. It was support ted by chief medical officer, Imphal East
A total of 150 patients were attended by seven doctors including pediatrics doctor L. Ranbir, medicine doctor M. Bobby and cardiologist doctor Uthan.
Free medicines were provided above free attendance to the patients at the camp.
