Imphal, November 26: A 16-day residential cricket coaching camp was launched today at Disabled Development Association, Manipur (DDAM) practice ground, Oinam Saombung Awang Leikai, Imphal East.
This is seventh edition of the residential camp. DDAM, Relief Centre for the welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur and State Platform of Disabled People’s Organisation organised the coaching camp.
During the launching ceremony tricycles were also distributed to six differently abled persons.
DDAM general secretary Yunus Khan said the differently abled persons has come out today to excel their talent and experience the pleasure of the world. Saying that the annual cricket coaching camp takes Manipur team in national tournaments, Yunus Khan drew the attention of the government for support.
He said the present is taking up schemes for the differently abled persons and the promise of the government should be practical.
