Imphal, October 4: Royal Enfield riders from Royal Riders, Manipur (RRM), toured the border areas of the neighbouring states which do not have proper roads and communication system and organised free medical camp.
For four days from September 29, 2017, the riders of RRM in association with Nagaland Motorcycle Club toured to Tening Village on the Manipur, Nagalnd and Assam border in Peren District and organised free medical camp.
Ziit Saikhom, General Secretary, Royal Riders Manipur said, “With a mission is build brotherhood between the people of Manipur and Nagaland, fifty-one riders drove towards the borders areas which was challenging as the road was not in proper condition with muddy and hurdle from the landslides.
As the people in the area do not get proper medical facilities, the villagers of the Tening village turned up for the medical camps opened by the Royal Enfield riders,” Ziit Saikhom asserts.
Altogether 460 patients including both adult and children attended the health camp.
Six doctors attended to the patients and distributed medicines.
With no sponsors, contributed fund from the pockets of the members of the Manipur Enfield riders’ club, the medicines were provided free of cost.
The team members interacted with the villagers and counseled them on various issues.
Royal Riders Manipur (RRM) which was established on January 23, 2007 with the motive of serving the humankind travelling in different parts of Manipur and North east, had travelled in the interior parts of the state and other parts of NE, and conducted environment awareness campaigns and medical camps among others till date.
