Imphal, October 27: Assam Rifles and state police force have defused a powerful explosive which was found under a culvert located between Wangjing market and Mahadev hill in Thoubal, along National Highway 102 connecting Indo-Myanmar border town, Moreh.
The bomb was packed in three layers of polythene sheets. It weighs about 3.250 kg and contained 2 kg of Neogel 90 and half kg of glycerine, approximately. The packet was attached with a total of 17 detonators. It had sixteen non electronic detonators with a safety fuse and another detonator inserted in the safety fuse, said the source.
