12th Manipur State League 2017

Imphal, September 10: KLASA, Keinou upset I-Leaue team Neroca FC by a solitary goal in the 12th Manipur State League 2017 played at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak.

KLASA Keinou who was well aware of Neroca FC strength, struck at lighting speed in the first minute of play when Jerry Onesemas Pulamte rolled through the latter defence, to beat keeper Lalit Thapa. Though Neroca FC tried theirs best to fetch the equaliser, the KLASA team stood solid on theirs defence for the win. KLASA player LS Hiisupulu got a yellow card in the match.

In the second match, Young Physique Union, Lallambung hold on Muvanlai Athletics by 1-1 goals draw to share a point each. The first half was a sordid affairs with both teams failed to break the deadlock. However Muvanlai Athletics got the breakthrough from a penalty in the 60 minute of play after David Mangboi Lhungdim was brough down by S.Chaoba Meitei. Skipper Haolengou Kipgen makes no mistake in converting the penalty to bring up the equaliser.

As YPHU team increased theirs tempo, they got the equaliser from a free kick with skipper Y.Kamando Singh in the 80 minute to level the scoreline to 1-1 goals till the final whistle.

Muvanlai skipper Haolengou Kipgen, Cleaven Hmar Ramnghak and Young Physique Union player S.Chaoba Meitei were booked with a yellow card in the match.

In tomorrow matches, NISA Thangmeiband will clash with TRAU Kwakeithel in the first match while FC Zalen will meet SSU Singjamei in the second match.

IWSC Khumbong thrashed MSC Malom by 5-0 goals in the 7th K.Karnajit Singh Memorial Second Division Football League 2017 played at Loitang Khunou. TH.Khongsai scored a hattrick goals while P.Samson and O.Hemba fetch a goal each.

IYDO Ningthou Manai had a goaless draw against MHGAU Hatta to share a point each in the N.Boboy Memorial Second Division Football League 2017 played at ABA Ground.
