Students’ Union of the Churachandpur Government College today organised the 53rd Social Freshers’ Meet, 2017 at Indoor stadium, Churachandpur College. The meet was graced by Agriculture/Vety & AH minister Shri V. Hangkhanlian, Education/Labour & Employment minister Shri Th. Radheshyam Singh and Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur Shri Shyam Lal Poonia, IAS as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and President respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri V. Hangkhanlian who was an ex-student of this college felt pride and honour to graced the function as it reminded him of his college days. The growing number of students and successful results make him named the college as the JNU of CCpur. New building with good infrastructures do not makes the institution successful rather it is the good students and faculties, he added.
Shri Th. Radheshyam said that students should be a source of joy and guidance for the needy in the society, a students must be a good listener and learner as well. He further said that student must value their mentors/teachers knowing that they are the one who had imparted knowledge to them. About the shortage of teachers, the education minister said, about 280 Associate Professors would be recruited shortly.
In his presidential speech, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of cleanliness and health. While speaking about the ‘VISION 2022’ the first key of this vision was Cleanliness which was followed by Drainage, Education and Tourism. He invites everyone who are interested on the issue may give suggestions/feedbacks through e-mail or log on to face book on the district website. He also urges the students community to assimilate on one goal; peace and harmony.
