Imphal, 31st August 2017 (DIPR): Education Minister, Shri Thokchom Radhashyam said that schemes meant for the minorities should be made sure to reach them. The scheme or programmes could improve the socio-economic conditions of the minority communities through inclusive development as per the motto ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’.
The minorities thus, like every citizen could have an equal opportunity in education, employment and economic activities. The minister was speaking as a Chief Guest at the prize distribution ceremony of The 3rd State Level G.K., Maths, & Meitei Mayek Competition – 2017 at G. M. Hall organised by the Social Youth Progressive Organisation (SYPO), Nungei.
Lauding the competition organised by the SYPO, he said that with this competition the organisation should also put their efforts in the social activities to check the implementation of the schemes provided by the government for the improvement of the people.
He said that today the society is in need of good human who has holistic approach and who can render their duty with sincerity and dedication. They are the one who has overcome many hurdles in their lives to reach their goal. He also advice the students present to approach every struggle in their life with positivity. The values to become a good human need to be imbibed to the young minds to make them capable of delivering their duty to the fullest, he added.
Prizes were distributed by the Minister and other dignitaries to the students who had top the competition. Members of the organisation, teachers, student and parents attended the ceremony.
