One day consultative workshop for the stakeholders of Churachandpur district under the theme “Vision by -2022 & Manipur Vision -2032” and discussion on work plan to “Improve and Sustain General Hygiene & Cleanliness” was held at the DTC Hall, near DC Office, Churachandpur today. The event was organised by District Administration, Churachandpur District & Centre for study of Social Exclusive Policy (CSSEIP), Manipur University.
The workshop was attended by Shri V. Hangkhanlian, Minister Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry as the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion Minister Shri V.Hangkhanlian congratulated the people of the district for their effort which made it possible for the district to bag the best district in the 1st State Level Swachhata Award 2017 organised by MAHUD Department. He appealed to the people to work together for the success of Vision-2022 and vision 2032.
Deputy Commissioner, Shri.Shyamlal Poonia, IAS, in his key note address spoke on the “Vision 2022” focussing on smart city, quality education, efficient public transport system, to make the district number one tourist destination, establish industry for livelihood generation, turning a crime free town, managing disaster of efficiently and cash less economy. He also appealed to the public to cooperate in sustaining general hygiene and cleanliness in the town.
Chairman of the Autonomous district Council Chuchandpur, Shri. Khaipao Haokip also spoke about the development of the district towards cleanliness. The discussion and interaction on “Churachandpur Vision 2022 and Manipur Vision 2032” was participated by representatives of civil organisations, village authorities, church leaders and Government officials of the district.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner, Shri.Shyamlal Poonia administered oath and Sadbhavana pledge. (DIPR)
