Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Yumnam Huidrom claimed the overall team champion title bagging 42 medals in the 28th State Thang-Ta Competition 2017 at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
The HLTA Yumnam Huidrom team finished with 18 gold, 17 silver, 7 bronze medals collecting 155 point for top title while Pahulashi Mayaikoibi bagged the runners up title with 13 gold, 9 silver, 7 bronze medals for 106 points.
The third spot was claimed by HLTA, Singjamei collecting 10 point, 3 silver, 2 bronze medals among the thirty five Thang-Ta units in the championship.
The best fighter in the boys category was won by M.Arbin Meitei of Keibi Thang-Ta Academy while the best fighter for girls was bagged by Y.Pinky Devi of HLTA Yumnam Huidrom. Rk.Athoibasana of Jiribam was adjudged the best discipline boys and the best referee was awarded to Y.Dijen Singh.
The concluding day of the meet saw, Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Yumnam Huidrom making a giant leap collecting 8 gold medals while its nearest contender Pahulashi Mayakoibi managed to collect just 2 gold medals.

The All Manipur Football Association has appointed M.Surmala Chanu and S.Manitombi Devi as manager and coach of the Manipur Sub-Junior Girls team participating in the Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship 2017 to be held at Imphal from September 6-18, 2017.
