United Sports Association hold on Super Sporting Club, Porompat by 1-1 goals to share a point each in the Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division Football League 2017 played at ABA Ground, Imphal East.
United Sports Association drew the first blood when M.Mison suprised its opponent when he scored the opening goal in the 20 minute for the lead. However SSC were swift in theirs reply when W.Athoiba Singh fetch the equaliser in the 38 minute to level 1-1 goals till the final whistle.
United Sports Association player H.Sailesh and SSC player Loyangamba were given the marching order for infield confrontation in the 52 minute. Both player were earlier booked with a yellow card in the first half until the confrontation occured in the second half. SSC player Md.Atiku got a yellow card in the match.
The other match between UPAA Kiyamgei and PYA Kairang saw the former beating the latter by 3-0 goals. A.Bipin(7th), N.Raju(24th) and L.Abung(73rd) scored the winning goals.
In the meantime, two PYA Kairang players Syed Farid and Md.Ali Khan were fined with Rs 2000 each for theirs unsporting behaviour towards the referee during the match against DOAK, Andro on July 27 last.
Imphal West League: SAI RC beat YWC Langthabal by 2-0 goals in the 24th L.Sangita Devi Memorial First Division Football League 2017 played at SKYC Ground, Sekmai. K.Radhakanta in the 22 minute and L.Lorney in the 75 minute struck the winning goal for SAI RC team.
Three YWC players G.Paohinlung, Ng.Pacha, W.Preet and SAI RC player K.Radhakanta got a yellow card in the match.
In another match, SCK beat GC CRPF by 3-2 goals. O.Arnold(26th), H.Chaoba(56th) and M.Ranbir(66th) scored for SCK team while K.Gladenpou(29th) and Ningreipam L(51st) scored for CRPF team.
