Manipur Transportation Service (MST) buses will ply once again to Pherzawl District after a hiatus of over 20 years.
Pherzawl Deputy Commissioner A Tombikanta has informed the Pherzawl District Development Committee (PDDC) that “the relentless efforts to restore the MST bus service to Pherzawl has been aceptted by Chief Minister N. Biren Singh’s government.”
“An order to this effect has been issued by the government,” Tombikanta said.
Preparations are on for the chief minister to flag off the MST bus service on June 25, 2017 at the state capital Imphal. The MST buses will also ply from Imphal to Churacnahpur.
The fare for Imphal – CCpur will be Rs 1/km. And from Churachandpur to Pherzawl, the fare will be Rs. 1.20p/km.
“The MST service to Pherzawl is expected to start from June 26, 2017 and the first passengers will have the benefit of travelling at a discount rate below the normal ticket price,” Tombikanta told PDDC officials.
The main station for MST Pherzawl will be at Rengkai and those wishing to travel to Pherzawl can contact Pu Lalramsang of Rengkai and from members of PDDC.
