With the BJP-led coalition Government is completing 100 days in office within a few days, Chief Minister Shri N. Biren Singh reviewed the status and progress of various developmental projects being undertaken by the Government under its 100 days programme.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction when the Ministers and Commissioners concerned conveyed him that almost all the enlisted tasks were ready for inauguration/launch while many of the works had already been translated into action.
Health and Family Welfare, Law and Legislative Affairs, Art and Culture and CADA Minister Shri L. Jayantakumar, CAF and PD, Weights and Measures, Revenue, Relief and Disaster Management Minister Shri Karam Shyam, MAHUD, Town Planning, Forest and Environment, Horticulture and Soil Conservation Minister Shri Th. Shyamkumar, IFCD and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Shri Letpao Haokip, PHED and Printing and Stationery Minister Shri Losii Dikho, Social Welfare and Co-operation Minister Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, all the Administrative Secretaries and Directors of different Departments attended the meeting.
Shri N. Biren assessed the present status of all the projects one by one and directed the officials concerned to take up necessary steps to inaugurate/launch the remaining tasks within this month.
Launching of public transport under the name Manipur State Transport and operationalisation of ISBT, Dewlaland, providing free internet Wi-Fi service in public areas like Paona Bazar, Thangal Bazar, JNIMS complex, Old Secretariat and New Secretariat etc, launching of two Rural Mobile Health Care Units and distribution of welfare benefits to 6000 building and construction workers are some of the significant developments which the public would witness within a few days.
The Chief Minister directed the Departments concerned to bring out separate booklets containing details of the tasks accomplished under the Government’s 100 days programme at the earliest.
Launching of Manipur Journalists’ Welfare Fund, inauguration of 50 schools (41 under SSA and nine under RMSA) and 64 classrooms (SSA), regulation of private schools and private tuition centres, implementation of a transparent transfer and posting policy under Education and Health and Family Welfare Departments, conducting special immunization drive for full immunization of about 3000 children (0-2) years in Ukhrul, Tamenglong, Churachandpur and Chandel (Mission Indradanush), launching of vocational courses in 40 colleges, inauguration of 46 classrooms, eight hostels with 645 beds, 4 132/33 KV power sub-stations, tourist resort at Sendra hillock, water sports complex at Takmu and Andro Tourist Park and launching of a toll free Women Helpline are some of the important projects among many others works which will be translated into action within this month.
