NPP MEETING

State Core Committee of National People’s Party is holding an emergency meeting on May 13 at 4pm at the party’s office at Chingmeirong Mamang Leikai to discuss the matter relating to the ensuing Rajya Sabha By-election to be held on May 25.
The By-election is to be conducted for the vacant seat of Manipur at Rajya Sabha following the death of Haji Abdul Salam in February before his tenure that would end on April 9, 2020.
Meanwhile it was reported that K. Bhabananda, president of BJP Manipur was likely to be the common candidate of the BJP and its coalition allies.
NPP is one ally having four ministers in the BJP led government.
