Mob guts a killer’s home

An angry mob today set ablaze the house of a police constable Elangbam Rajesh who allegedly shot Kh. Santosh Singh to death during a Thabal Chongba at Ukhongshang Mayai Leikai of Thoubal, yesterday.
A bandh was imposed today at Thoubal protesting and demanding justice against the alleged killing.
It was alleged that police persons who were on duty had fired gun shots and instantly killed 25 years old Santosh s/o Kh. Ibohal from Thoubal Athokpam Awang Leikai.
The death body was taken to JNIMS for post mortem.
The police constable has surrendered to Yairipok police.
