Imphal, Feb 28: Naharol Yaipha Thourang Club blanked Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal by 2-0 goals in the 8th AMFA Senior Women’s Football League for BM Singh Trophy 2017 played at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak.
Naharol Yaipha team who was being hammered twice in the league, finally manage to bring a smile to its bench, picking up their first three point today. Kim Kom bring cheers to her team as she struck the opening goal in the 10 minute of play for the lead in the first half.
Diging deep in the match, the frequent pressure from Naharol Yaipha team fetch rich reward as Youth Welfare player Basanti Devi concedded an own goal in the 66 minute to rode home with the victory today.
In another match, Eastern Sporting Union continous their winning run beating Manipur Police Sports Club by 3-1 goals. The policewomen looked positive when A.Sakhitombi scored the opening goal in the 17 minute to command of the match. However in the added time of the first half, Kashmina jump to the ocassion as she fetch the equaliser in the 40 plus 2 minute to level 1-1 goals.
The latter period of the match belong to Eastern Sporting Union as I.Prameshwori consolidates in the 80 minute and Kashmina wraps up the match with the winning goal in the 80 plus 2 minute for the victory.
