Chief minister Okram Ibobi representing the state Congress fraternity today made his promise to work relentlessly for the people of Manipur if people re-hand the government to congress while he releases the election manifesto at Congress Bhavan.
Ibobi said the first priority of the congress if retain is power would be to provide constitutional safeguard for the territorial integrity of Manipur and improve the law and order of the state, which is another priority. “With the law and order situation improved the congress government will strive for removal of AFSPA from the remaining parts of the state that has been removed in case of seven assembly segments”, added the chief minister.
He said IT sector, health sector and agriculture will be focussed with the provision of skill development involving public private partnership.
Ibobi also stated that the safe water drinking supply will be the next major project after power generation.
Saying that the Congress government had fulfilled almost all the promises made ahead of the 2012 assembly election, said some portions of the target projects could not be completed due to the disturbance of the bandh and blockade prevailed in the state.
